Unity Blog Hop 01.14.16!!

HUGE. RELEASE. That’s all I got to say about that!

&

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, ANGELA MAGNUSON, YOU BEAUTIFUL SOUL!!

We’re all celebrating Angela’s birthday by hopping along with Unity today and showing off the NEW Unity releases.

Here’s what I did with the NEW art journaling sayings as my scrapbook page title.

My daughter participated in her first half marathon this past October in Portland, OR. I think her excitement for the sport rubbed off on me a little bit, so I started running the second week of this past November, so I could run with her in the Hot Chocolate 15K at Golden Gate Park in San Francisco, CA, on January 10. You never know what you can do until you just BELIEVE AND MOVE FORWARD. I’ve never been much of a running enthusiast. In fact, I loathed running. Walking has been more of my exercise of choice. Something just clicked this time and I just kept doing it and WANTING to do it. I’m not saying I love to do it——I‘ve found I can tolerate it easier than I used to--and well, I just don’t stop. I keep going. Much to my surprise, we finished the 15K in 1 Hour and 56 minutes. My goal was to run the entire 9 miles which was almost accomplished except the last couple of miles were at an incline--it was San Francisco after all--and well I had to walk a little bit of that, BUT we both ran across the finish line together. Never think it’s too late for you to try anything new. I’m 44 (soon to be 45) and I just finished a 15K with my 25-year-old daughter in less than 2 hours!! YES!!

For the above layout, I also used a sentiment toward the top from the NEW Kit of the Month, “Start Again”.

And the arrows are from the NEW SMAK Kit, “Free Spirit”.

Awesome layout! My 16 year old daughter is in PE this semester and discovered she loves running. I might try to join her, and maybe it will click like it did for you :)
